GRP + Timber
one workshop, two disciplines, one standard
Expedition
boats built for polar and ocean rows
Six disciplines, one workshop
Most yards specialise in one material or one kind of job. We run new builds, repair, restoration and tooling side by side, because a lot of good boats need all four.
N.B
New Builds
One-off hulls in GRP or composite sandwich, built from a naval architect's drawings or worked up from your brief, start to launch.
G.R.P
GRP Construction & Repair
Hand lay-up and vacuum infusion, structural repair, hull skinning and osmosis treatment, finished in gelcoat or paint.
TIM
Traditional Timber
Carvel and clinker repair, teak decking and structural work on classic and working boats.
M+T
Moulds & Tooling
Plugs and production moulds for marine, automotive and architectural parts, from a single pattern to a production run.
PM
Project Management & Consultancy
Construction supervision, refit management and quality control on projects run through other yards.
D+T
Development & Testing

How a project runs
01
Enquiry & brief
Tell us what you're building, repairing or tooling, and the standard you're building to.
02
Design & quote
A fixed scope and price, in GRP, timber or both, against drawings you provide or ones we help develop.
03
Build, repair or tool
Work happens in our own workshop, under the same quality control on a small repair as a full new build.
04
Check & handover
Every job is checked against spec before it leaves the workshop, with a full handover of what was done.
