Ketch

This project took us to Corsica, working out of the marina at Propriano to replace this ketch’s ageing softwood deck. The old deck was cut away in sections, each area replaced immediately with 18mm plywood so the boat was never left exposed for long.

Once the plywood was down and sealed, teak was laid in strips to follow the deck’s shape, the seams caulked, then sanded and finished. The final stage — antifouling and painting the hull — was completed once the boat was lifted out at Ajaccio.
